Steaming Streakers on the Queen's Ground - Cartier International Polo at its best

Summer had arrived at last as crowds came to watch Cartier International Polo matches at Smith's Lawn Guards Polo Club on Sunday 27th July on a beautiful sizzling day.

The morning match with the Prince of Wales team vs the Hurlingham team resulted in the latter winning the Golden Jubilee Trophy.  The entertaining afternoon match played out in the heat of the day encouraged male streakers to bound across the Polo pitch airing and exhibiting their tackle to the amusement of spectators...an unexpected sight before the final chukkas in which England gained victory over Australia and won the Coronation Cup with a close 10-9 score.

HRH Prince of Wales made the trophy presentations and met Polo players and guests including queen of Burlesque entertainment Dita Von Teese, model Marie Helvin and Bond actress Rosamund Pike.  Also present in The Royal Box were the former Maharani of Jaipur (now in her late 80's) whose late husband Jai was an avid Polo player, Violinist Vanessa Mae and Top Gear Presenter Richard Hammond with other dignitaries.

Listening to comments and as a regular attendee I feel this was by far one of the best Cartier International Polo events in the last few years.  As usual many headed towards the Chinawhite and Smyle Player Marquee to party under the stars.  At the VIP enclosure various celebs including Kelly Brook, Tina Hobley, Salman Rushdie, Emma Watson, Duncan from boy band Blue and showbiz photographer Dave Bennett were spotted.
