PAD London art & design fair took up residency in Berkeley Square Mayfair on 12th- 18th October 2015. This was one of the most hectic weeks in the autumn season with several major art fairs including PAD, Frieze, The Other Art Fair and Moniker taking place in London simultaneously.
One unique aspect of art fairs being held in Berkeley Square are the tall tree trunks, the most organic art form surrounded by man-made decorative art works inside the marquees.
A supreme selection of internationally acclaimed art, photography & sculpture along with fine jewellery and interior decor displays were exhibited at the PAD fair which originates from Paris.
Ruinart's pop-up champagne bar & restaurant produced by interior designer Francis Sultana was an additional special feature at PAD. The smart colour scheme comprised of black, white and green with exotic palm trees creating a sophisticated yet relaxed ambience.
PAD has gained a good reputation in the industry by providing interior designers, collectors, dealers and investors, exclusive access to top global exhibitors. At the 9th edition of PAD, some of the exhibitors informed us that they had seen a general improvement this year as sales had increased particularly at the Collector's Preview on 12th October.
After a busy day spent at the PAD fair, Pukka PR attended the evening preview of Lita Cabellut's exhibition IMPULSE at the Opera Gallery on Bond Street. Lita originally from Barcelona has produced some stunning wall-size portraiture with her own stylised background technique for this successful exhibition.
The preview was very well attended and some of the huge portraits were sold on the night. Various art lovers and friends were present at the gallery including Michael Flatley Lord of the Dance who has produced art work himself and was there with his gorgeous wife Niamh.

Poem: Sometimes - at the Opera Gallery London
They stood hand in hand gazing
At a magnificent Cabellut portrait,
The Couple's hair glinted gold in the
Bright light of the Opera Gallery.
We soon realised Shiva the god of
Dance and his consort were present -
The couple were in fact, the divine dancer
Michael Flately and his beautiful wife Niamh
Viewing the exhibition.
Lord of The Dance himself is known
To transform his dynamic choreography into
Vivid foot paintings depicting
A release of energy. Unfolding his
Universe in a revolving pillar of activity
Whirling, swirling creativity.
Quiet benedictions before his
Dance of victory, his rebirth and
Drama of dance imprinted for
Posterity in a frenzy of design
And paint.
