Pukka PR is delighted to announce it is an official supporter of the MOBO Awards 2007. The MOBO organisation was launched in 1996 then advanced as an international music platform boosting Music of Black Origin and is now one of the most prestigious music award ceremonies in the music industry calendar. The MOBO awards have played a pivotal role in nurturing and showcasing contemporary Artists, especially in the UK where many performers have gone on to enjoy great success in their music career.
Additionally, apart from arranging this mega annual awards event, the MOBO organisation supports various charities and works tirelessly ''to increase awareness for Music of Black Origin and to harness the entrepreneurial spirit of it's creators within communities.''
The MOBO Awards 2006 was hosted by Gina Yashere & Coolio and performers included Rihanna, Lemar, Jamelia, Letoya and Keshia White. The award winners list included Best R&B Female Rihanna, Best Hip Hop Akala, Best UK Female and UK Newcomer Corinne Bailey Rae, Best Song, Best Video and International Female Beyonce, Best Group Black Eyed Peas, Best UK Male Lemar, Best International Male Jay Z, Best Reggae Sean Paul and, Soul legend Sam Moore was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
