Article 1.  London Fashion Week 13 September 2013

During London Fashion Week the Freemasons Hall was bustling with visitors viewing Pop PR's Fashion Scout catwalk shows and exhibits.  As guests gathered for the fashion shows, handsome male promo models offered them a Snog...not a luscious kiss that some might have hoped for but fat-free fruity frozen yoghurt to sweeten the mouth.

Our featured fashion show from the Fashion Scout schedule was produced by designer Bernard Chandran.  He showcased a collection of quirky colourful outfits made from shimmery materials and matching shoes with ankle high buckled straps.  This particular collection of outfits would probably appeal to women with a sense of fun as the garments were party pieces.

On the 1st day of LFW, apart from viewing Spring/Summer couture collections I observed and captured some interesting people roaming around Somerset House as seen in my photos below.  While LFW was underway, Supermodel Naomi Campbell commented on her concerns regarding the lack of ethnic models recruited in fashion modelling.  Whenever Pukka PR has organised fashion shows we've included models from different nationalities - good models should be given a fair chance regardless of race.  If you view previous coverage of our Pukka PR fashion shows you'll see that we've promoted cultural diversity throughout.  I hope that the fashion houses and model agencies change the way they operate after Naomi highlighted this valid issue.

Article 2.  VIP Breakfast Cruise on the London Eye Barracuda and Square Meal Venues & Events Live 18 September 2013

Pukka PR was invited to a VIP breakfast cruise on the London Eye Barracuda - a luxury vessel chartered to transport a group of guests to the Square Meal Venues & Events Live event.  My mother Amita and I were warmly welcomed on board the Barracuda with Pommery champagne and upbeat live music trio ‘Wandering Hands'.  We travelled in style along the Thames and chatted to others whilst our champagne glasses were topped up and breakfast canapés were provided by Rhubarb the caterer.  A refreshing morning river cruise on the Barracuda with excellent onboard hospitality made it a memorable way to travel to the Square Meal exhibition.

By mid morning, Old Billingsgate had become busy with visitors filing in to see the exhibition where we were given smart lime green & black bags to collect all our Square Meal event goodies.  Even though my knowledge of London venues is good it's surprising how many other venues exist in London and all over UK.  Apart from over 250 venues being showcased, there were all kinds of businesses promoting services such as famous London attractions, catering, lighting, prop hire, flower arranging, limousine hire, leisure & recreation activities.  Additionally during the two-day event, seminars and tasting masterclasses took place.

The Square Meal organisers had thought of every detail including providing visitors with complimentary ‘Office Diner' lunch packs for added convenience which was a clever idea.  We spoke to several representatives from venues and companies and collected promo paraphernalia.  For those working in the events/hospitality industry this Square Meal event is very useful for networking and exchanging business cards.  After the exhibition we walked along the Thames river promenade and admired the view of The Shard, stunning cutting-edge glass structure and "tallest building in Western Europe" designed by Architect Renzo Piano.
